The development of the M-HOUSE project will be followed by a focus group of key stakeholders, who will provide their feedback on project’s results and will actively contribute to the development of products, according to the foreseen quality standards. The Quality Board is composed of about 25 members, including households, representatives of business associations, trainers, entrepreneurs, academic staff, representatives of adult learning institutions and other key associations.
Prof. Dr. Michael-Burkhard Piorkowsky is Professor for Household and Consumption Economics at the University of Bonn. He holds Diplomas in Political Economy and Business Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics. His research interests are on structures and functions of private households and household related socio-economic hybrids, e.g. household-firm-units, with a focus on management, e.g. finance, poverty and coping strategies, and entrepreneurship, esp. business start-up.
Karin Ellermann-Kügler is Head of Brussels office of the Association of Chambers of Agricultures, she is responsible for knowledge and information transfer regarding European affairs and project funding instruments in the field of rural development. As an expert for adult education, gender aspects, bottom-up LEADER approach and rural services she manages and facilitate exchange of expertise and implementation of projects. This includes planning and organizing workshops, seminars, conferences and events at EU Level.
Carlo Spagnoli is an expert on International trade and project manager at Unioncamere. Responsible for projects management and international policies of Italian Chamber of commerce; responsible of projects of the Secretariat of Central European Initiative of Chambers of Commerce (CEI-CECCI) in Italy. Responsible for Invest in Med projects of Italian Chambers of Commerce in the framework of Ascame Network; Responsible for Italian Chamber of commerce abroad (76 CCIE) and Italian-Foreign Chamber of Commerce 35 CCM) networks; Secretary General Italian-Argentinian Chamber of Commerce.
Kaija Turkki holds a PhD in household technology, and she is a Professor in Home Economics at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She has served several administrative positions as a department chair and a Vice Dean for Societal Issues in the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences. Besides extensive commitments to the IFHE she has focussed her professional interest to EU-funded networks as ERASMUS, Consumer Citizenship/PERL (www.perlprojects.org) and Family Platform 2009-11. She has been invited as an Editorial Board Member on four research Journals. Since 1999 she has served as expert in Accreditation or Review Committees for several universities in Baltics and the Netherlands to evaluate home economics programmes and research. In Finland she has been an active member of The Parliamentary Support Network for Home Economics since 1993, and a member of the panels processing a national framework curriculum (1994; 2004) for home economics under the National Board of Education.
Andrea Giesler Andrea has been self-employed for 14 years and is partner and managing director of an independent finance agency. She is focusing on advisory services – mainly regarding insurance of existential risks - for all kind of companies especially start-up companies. She yearly supports the organization of the "Hessische Gründertage” (a regional fair for new and would-be entrepreneurs). She works as an honorary counselor for schools on the subject: “Start your own Company/Business”. She has brought schools und businesses successfully together in the framework of a local project of the national programme "Young people starting their own business".
Dorothea Simpfendörfer is Chair of German Section of the International Federation for Home Economic. She teaches home economics in vocational training, she is the author of 10 study books in home economics and education for sustainable development, she has experience in youth exchange, she was volunteer in West Africa.
Tarja Römer-Paakkanen, Ph.D.(econ.), is Principal Lecturer in entrepreneurship at HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences and Adjunct professor at Jyväskylä University, where she is supervising several PhD. students in entrepreneurship. Her own research focus is in entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial families and households and in family entrepreneurship. She is involved in several projects on entrepreneurship education and in projects that develop entrepreneurship counselling and pedagogy in higher education. She is a co-owner in a family firm.
Karina Mereuta is a young entrepreneur and social entrepreneur, with experience in communications and branding, international relations, business development and training. She has worked as an expert in a EU funded project dedicated to boosting entrepreneurship skills in Romania, organizing and facilitating seminars all over Romania.
Karolina Witowska is grafic designer (poster, publishing graphics), she realizes art installations, murals and actions in public space, creative drawing and painting. In both design and her artistic activity she is interested in community art projects, she creates concepts and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects in culture and cultural education design and run thematic workshops for children and adults. She works in a local community environment bringing up neighborhood and coexistence issues. She deals with projects on the borderline between installation, design and drawing. She also runs workshops. In her artistic work she uses sketching as a quick and spontaneous record of the situation.
Serena Angioli is Project Manager, expert in definition - programming - consultation - implementation of European regional policy of economic and social cohesion, expert in European and national policies for youth employment. Officer of the Local Public Administration from 2002 to 2008 and the National Public Administration in 2010 from the National Agency for Youth, Italian LLP Agency. In the past she served, as an officer/Temporary Agent of the European Commission and later as a Seconded National Expert in numerous management positions at two different DGs of the European Commission in Brussel. Senior Expert, with managerial role, at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Equal Opportunities. She also served as a senior consultant with several Italian National Authorities. Currently, she serves as Director of programming - Relations with the European institutions in the Calabria region.
